Criminal Out On Bail Does Hit & Run Severally Hurts Three People

In February 2025, Christopher Seabrook, a 28-year-old man from Brooklyn, was arrested for a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in January 2024. Seabrook had been out on $20,000 bail for a previous offense involving fleeing from the police while armed. The hit-and-run crash resulted in the death of Hayden Wallace and serious injuries to three other individuals. After the incident, Seabrook abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene. He was eventually apprehended after police linked him to the crime through evidence found in the abandoned vehicle, including a child’s school ID that connected him to his family. Seabrook faces multiple charges related to the crash, including manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. His prior criminal history raised concerns about public safety, leading to his being held without the help of a bail bond company at Rikers Island as he awaits trial.
